Surgery Hours
Making an appointment
All consultations are made by appointment in order to reduce waiting times. To make an appointment you may telephone or call in at the Surgery on weekdays 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. (Closed lunchtime 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm).
If you wish to speak to a doctor by phone we now have a number of Duty doctor telephone consultation appointments available 'on the day' between 10.10 - 10.3.30am and 4.30 - 4.50 pm. Appointments are booked via Reception and are for five minutes.
If you wish to speak to a particular doctor, please ring between 10.50 am - 11.30 am. If the doctor is busy with a patient he/she may prefer to ring you back later or to ring you back at a more convenient time. Doctors will endeavour to return all calls within 24 hours if they are in the surgery.
Home Visits
Requests for visits should be made before 10.00am if possible so that the doctors can plan their visiting time more effectively. Be prepared to supply the receptionist with a name, address, telephone number and a brief description of the problem so that requests can be given the necessary priority. Please do not ask the doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery - a doctor can generally see four to five patients in surgery in the time it takes for one home visit.
