Our team
In addition to our Doctors, Registrars and 4 Practice Nurses, we also have a large team of attached staff. These include a team of District Nurses, the Daisy Team of Midwives, Health Visitors, a Chiropodist (for diabetics), a Dietician and Optometrist.
Practice staff
Our Practice Nurses run surgeries each week day by appointment which can be made on 01483 898123. Among their duties, they carry out dressings, ear syringing, removal of sutures, blood tests and injections/immunisations. Our nurses also specialise in Asthma, Travel Advice, immunisation and Warfarin testing. One specialises in the Well Woman and Family Planning Clinics.
General practitioner training scheme
This is a teaching practice and we have GP Registrars attached to the practice for the General Practice part of their training. These doctors hold surgeries, make homevisits, help at clinics and take part in the emergency rota. One of the partners supervises the registrars at all times and is available for advice, if necessary. In addition, we occasionally teach medical and nursing students. As part of their training they find it very valuable to sit in on clinics or to perform consultations that would then be checked by a GP.
The staff
Our excellent back up team includes our Practice Manager, Alison Williams, a Reception Office Manager and a team of Receptionists, 6 Secretaries and Administration Assistants, and an Accounts department.
