About the Practice
The Surgery
The surgery is situated in the centre of Wonersh village opposite the Post Office. The purpose
built right hand part of the surgery was opened in 1972 and extended in 1982. We acquired the Sheilings in 1994. There is a car park at the rear of the premises which is reached by driving through the archway. Please note there is a one-way system for safety reasons.
There are a total of twelve consulting rooms in addition to two treatment rooms. The latter two and five of the consulting rooms are on the ground floor. If you have difficulty using the stairs you can be seen on the ground floor. In addition, there is a health education suite which is used for various clinics, ante-natal classes etc.
The Practice covers an area approximately seven miles by five.
Practice training for Registras
This is a teaching practice and we have GP Registrars attached to the practice for the General Practice part of their training. These doctors hold surgeries, make homevisits, help at clinics and take part in the emergency rota. One of the partners supervises the registrars at all times and is available for advice, if necessary. In addition, we occasionally teach medical and nursing students. As part of their training they find it very valuable to sit in on clinics or to perform consultations that would then be checked by a GP.
